ASPENADO (6) worked forward from a wide gate then had little to offer in the straight when resuming over 1318m at Geelong last start. Draws a far better alley this time and has placed 3/3 second-up so sharp improvement looks on the cards. ARACHIDI (10) has been just behind the placings at her two runs this prep, the latest over 1406m at Benalla. Fitter now and gets in nicely after the claim so might be worth one more chance. BURNING THE CLOCK (1) is slowly working his way back into form, beaten just 0.4 lengths most recently over 1400m at Echuca. Will race handy from gate one and is definitely a threat. HELLS SON (3) has been finding the line well in his races after settling back from wide draws. Finally gets a decent gate and is sure to play a major role. PAINT ME RED (5) wasn't far off them first up at Kilmore and can improve out to this trip.
