Verdict

A ten-year-old mare without a win in ten months at the top of the pecking order says a lot about this race. MISCHINKA (2) caught the eye last start when she came from next to last to get up for second over this distance at Benalla. Goes well here at this trip and looks the testing material. SELLENTE (3) showed pace to the corner but faded in the run home over 2000m at Ballarat last time out. Gets a nice trail out of the inside gate and can improve coming back in trip. SPACE ACADEMY (4) has been just fair of late in slightly richer races across the NSW border. Capable of a top three finish on an eight-day turnaround. Veteran OKRA (11) found some form last start when a closing third over this distance at Corowa. Hasn't won for a while but has won 2/4 here so can't be left out. SUPER VIEW (8) is racing well in easier races. Worth some thought down in the weights.
