ZOU DE LAGOS (8) was shuffled back midrace then came again to finish fourth on debut last start over this trip at Kyneton. Needs a bit of luck from the wide gate but with natural improvement he looks the one to beat. POSITIVO (3) just missed first-up at Albury and has been unlucky in two runs since, the latest over 1300m at Corowa. Finds a weak maiden today so if luck goes his way he is a great chance to break through. WINSTON (7) is back from an 18-week spell. Rated highly in a mile race at Bendigo at his second start which earned him a crack at some black type. Didn't measure up at that level but in this company he is a winning hope despite the lay-off. SHEER SHAME (4) raced keenly and failed to finish off on debut over 1500m at Mornington recently. Today's gear change may help the cause. WHIPLASH (6) debuts for the Hayes stable. Went alright in a recent Pakenham jump-out. Respect any market confidence.
