SUPER VALENTINE (5) doesn't win often but ran a nice race last time out over 1960m at this track, finishing third after being in contention on the corner. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he can measure right up. ORIEDOS (11) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 1.5L over 1350m at this track when he worked home well. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. BELMONT AVENUE (8) was expected to do more last start when out of the placings. Holds genuine claims on best form and is worth following up. EXCELMAN (1) has hit the line strongly in his two runs back and sets up well for this. Expect him to drift back again from the draw and be climbing over their backs at the business end.
