The record of MARAMA (10) doesn't look great with just one placing from seven starts, but two runs this time in suggest she's building up to a peak performance. Was 1600m up to 2050m when second up, when beaten only 2-3/4 lengths, so should derive great fitness benefit from that and this is not a strong race. GREAT PROSPERITY (3) is never far away and will appreciate a slight class drop here and his edge in fitness over Marama could prove telling. PALACE WINTER (5) is only second-up here but the first-up effort, when beaten just over three lengths, at Caulfield suggests he's got the talent to give this a shake. DEELER (2) only need to repeat the run from two starts back to be a factor and LARRYOCTANE (4), stablemate to Great Prosperity, might be ready to show something up to 2060m third-up after an improved effort last time out.
