PokerStars Rewards reboot in 2024

At the beginning of 2024, PokerStars Rewards got a decent makeover. Here's a summary of the biggest changes.

Why did PokerStars Rewards change?

It was time for a reboot. The new rewards scheme is clearer, easier to understand, and better tailored to players' needs.

What remained?

We kept the basics. The overall program format and composition remained the same.

  • You still receive rewards in Chests after you complete progress bars of a certain level.
  • You still earn Reward Points. As before, you collect them by generating rake in our Poker games.
  • There are still six increasing Chest levels represented by different colors, with the option to upgrade and downgrade.
  • The Exchange Feature has survived.
  • You can track your progress through the PokerStars Rewards widget on our mobile or desktop app.

What changed?

With the overall program structure intact, we focused on value and requirements.

  • We've raised the number of Reward Points you need for all Chest levels.
  • At the same time, we've increased the Chest values, so you now get higher reward percentages.
  • Plus, we give all rewards out as cash now.
  • Only Poker is in scope now, while Casino and Sports were outsourced from PokerStars Rewards.
    • We no longer credit Reward Points for Casino gameplay and/or Sports betting (where available).
    • Instead, Casino and Sports players are getting additional promotions specific to them, so they can benefit even more.
  • The number of Chest levels you need to level up has been aligned to five for each level (as opposed to the previous cumulative approach).

What about side offers?

While on these changes, we refreshed the whole PokerStars Rewards inventory and introduced a special offer for our most loyal players.

  • We updated Early Bird Zoom (where it's available) by reducing the multiplier from 3X to 2X to align it with the increased reward percentages in Chests.
  • We discontinued the Weekly Poker Challenges (where they were available) and moved the budget back into our main loyalty program.
  • Last but not least, we launched PokerStars Select for our high-volume players, with dedicated requirements and rakeback schemes.

What about promotions outside of PokerStars Rewards?

They weren't affected by these changes. But we'd like to highlight a few things:

  • We moved some budget over to fund new, exciting promotions for Casino and Sports players.
    • You'll have plenty of opportunities to win extra prizes with our promo upgrade.
  • We've further boosted our popular Power Path offer, giving away more tickets than ever through all kinds of campaigns.
    • Check out our Power Path website and start your journey to the biggest live and online events.
